#8 Frankie Edgar vs #13 Marlon Vera

The main event opens up with number 8 ranked Frankie Edgar(23-9-1) faces number 13 ranked Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera (17-7-1), in my opinion, my favorite to win is Frankie Edgar even though he’s coming off of a brutal knockout loss from Cory Sandhagen who is fighting for the Bantamweight Interim Championship, he is still a great fighter. He’s a seasoned experienced veteran and a former lightweight champion. I think he gets the job done by a win via decision.

#7 Sean Strickland vs Luke Rockhold

Next on the card is number 7 ranked in the middleweight division, Sean Strickland(24-3) vs unranked in the middleweight division is, Luke Rockhold(16-5). Coming off of a unanimous decision win against Uriah Hall (50-45), Sean Strickland showed off his incredible jab ,wrestling and cardio. His opponent Luke Rockhold is moving back down to the middleweight division after getting knocked out by light heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz. Strickland has great power in his jab, he constantly stunned Uriah Hall just with his jab, and Luke Rockhold either has a really bad chin or terrible striking defense. My favorite to win is Sean Strickland and I’m predicting a second round knockout.

#2 Justin Gaethje vs #4 Michael Chandler

Next on the card is going to be a great fight, it’s number 3 ranked lightweight and former Interim Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje(22-3) against number 4 ranked in the lightweight division and former Bellator Lightweight Champion, Michael Chandler(22-6). Justin Gaethje is coming back from a one year layoff after a submission loss to the greatest lightweight of all time Khabib Nurmagomedov and Michael Chandler is coming off of a knockout loss to the Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira at UFC 262. Both of these warriors throw absolute bombs but only one of these fighters has a great chin and its Justin Gaethje, he went to war against Dustin Poirier who is set to face Lightweight Champion Charles Oliveira for UFC 269, before getting TKO’ed in the fourth round. My favorite to win is Justin Gaethje, he is just an absolute warrior with heavy and great striking, great wrestling, and cardio.

Co-Main Event: Champion Rose Namajunas vs #1 Zhang Weili

Moving on to the Co-Main event, Rose Namajunas(11-4) vs Zhang Weili(21-2) 2. The fighters went against each other at UFC 261 with Rose Namajunas winning via head kick knockout in the first round to earn the Strawweight Championship. Rose Namajunas has great jiu-jitsu with a great muay thai striking style. Zhang Weili is an all around fighter with great grappling and striking. My favorite in this co-main bout is Zhang Weili, I think that she’ll be ready to expect anything from Rose Namajunas and she has also been training her wrestling with former flyweight and bantamweight champion, and Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo.

Main-Event: Champion Kamaru Usman vs #1Colby Covington

Finally, for the Main Event between the welterweight champion Kamaru Usman(19-1) against the number one contender in the welterweight division, Colby Covington(16-2). These two previously faced off at UFC 245 with the winner Kamaru Usman defeating Colby Covington via TKO in the 5th round. Their first match was incredible but also controversial, going into the 5th round it was tied at 2-2, but in the previous rounds Usman may have faked an eye poke and nut shot. People believe that the kick to the groin was actually a liver shot which caused Usman to stop and cover up. Both of these fighters are great wrestlers but in their bout at UFC 245 it was a great striking battle. Ever since that bout, both of them have been training their striking abilities. Kamaru Usman has been training with one of the best coaches for striking, Trevor Wittman. Trevor Wittman also trains Justin Gaethje and Rose Namajunas, so he will be coaching 3 events back to back to back. Even though Kamaru Usman is the Favorite to win, I really don’t know who will win this fight, both of these fighters are great, I don’t know if it’s going to be a wrestling match or a striking match.
