My favorite sport would probably be swimming. It is a perfect sport for summer (which is ironically my least favorite season). It is also really relaxing but if you want you can get more intense with it! You can also do swimming by teams or just race other people by yourself.
High level competitive swimming became popular during the 19th century. The main goal of the sport is to break personal or world record while beating other competitors in any given event. In open water swimming, events are held in various distances. The distances vary depending on the body of water used for the swimming. Men and women compete in the 5 km, 10 km, and 25 km events.
Swimming is also a way to start getting in shape. It is a great all-around exercise that helps maintain a healthy weight, build endurance, strengthen and tone your body’s muscles and helps relieve stress. Getting in shape by swimming is a great way to tone and strengthen your body. It’s also a great way to keep your heart rate up while taking in the water’s resistance. Swimming has many other health benefits, some of which include: relieving stress, improving coordination, flexibility, and low-impact therapy. It can also be used to cool down during a hot day. Get started with a couple of days a week, and build up to more days if you are comfortable. Take enough rest between swims to catch your breath. I would personally recommend starting out doing freestyle since it is the easiest.
