My name is Luna Rodriguez and the country that I picked is Japan. Something Interesting about Japan is that it is made up of four main islands. Although Japan is an archipelago with almost 6,852 islands, it is mostly made out of four. Those 4 main islands are named Honshu, Kyushu, Shikoku, and Hokkaido. Another cool thing about Japan is that they have ice cream that won’t melt for a few hours. This accidental discovery was made by scientists while they were experimenting the with chemistry in a strawberry to assist farmers affected by the earthquake of 2011. Japan also has 110 active volcanoes! Forty-seven of those volcanoes are closely monitored and watched by scientists because they erupted recently or will erupt soon. Last but not least, The Tallest Waterfall of Japan. The Tallest Waterfall of Japan is named “Nachi” and is 133 meters tall. It is located in Nachikatsuura, Wakayama Prefecture and is ranked as one of the 3 most beautiful and greatest waterfalls in Japan.
