Hello! For this blog post I’ll be sharing something I found interesting! There is a vaccine for COVID-19. It already went through phase 3, but there are side effects that include fatigue, muscle soreness and aches, joint pain, headache, and redness or swelling at the injected spot. Recently the UK got their first batch of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. The UK is the first western country to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The country ordered 40 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine which is enough to vaccinate 20 million people since they need to take two shots of the vaccination.
California’s governor Gavin Newsom announced the state’s plans to distribute the first doses of COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. There will be atleast 327,000 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to arrive in California between Dec.12-15. Health care workers and long term care residents will receive the vaccine first. The vaccine will divided in six regions.
