The two men that were accused of stealing skulls said that they were using it to use in religious practices of Palo Mayombe, an African-Caribbean religion related to Santeria.
These two men were arrested and accused of stealing the remains of military veterans from a Central Florida cemetery last month.
These men were by the name of Brian Montalvo Tolentino and Juan Burgos-Lopez, and they each had four counts of disturbing contents of a grave and abuse of a dead body. Burgos-Lopez was also charged with buying, selling, and trafficking dead bodies.
These men at the end of it were buying, stealing, selling, and trafficking dead bodies of military veterans.
