Our first week of project 2, Exploring Poetry, is coming to a close. Today, students should be submitting Checkpoint 1 for feedback. I will have feedback completed by the middle of next week, so parents should see a color on the “Year” tab for this project corresponding to the color of the checkpoint. Green is good to go, Yellow means I’ve given feedback for corrections to be made, red means it was not completed.11/30/2018 @ 10:50 AM
Many parents have been contacting me regarding grades posted in Power School. Reminder, please check the status of your child’s progress on the Summit Learning Platform first. Many questions can be answered there. You can see the average of their Cognitive Skills scores on the right of the classes timeline in the “Year” tab, or you can go to the “Progress” tab where you will see a grade listed for each of their core classes. You can click the grade (Incomplete, C, B, A) and that will open the Cognitive Skills scoring sheet. There you can see the scores your child has received for each Cognitive Skill. Four of them have been scored: Theme, Selection of Evidence, Explanation of Evidence, and Conventions.
